Out of the Dungeon and into the Light

Well friends, we did it again....we moved!! No, not to our new house because that would mean pigs learned how to fly or the world ended....you choose:) But truly it is a Christmas miracle that we have a beautiful home to live in for the time being. A couple months ago you will remember that I blogged about the joys of moving. Since we were paying a double mortgage we put renters in our Phoenix house and moved into a friends house who had moved to Utah. We were beyond grateful to have a place to stay that was big enough for all of us! But truth be told it was a little bit of a dungeon.

It was a little dark and dreary even though it was a brand new home. It was probably a combination of the layout, the color scheme and the lack of light....that and the fact that we had boxes everywhere. Well that house was foreclosed by the bank and we were forced to find someplace new. We really had no idea where we would find a place to rent. Most places require you to sign a long lease, pay big deposits, and you pay even bigger deposits if you have pets. The situation was looking bleak. But last week at our church Christmas party we met a couple who was moving to Utah and had their house up for sale. They said they would be willing to let us rent their place as houses are staying on the market for a while!!! We were ecstatic. The house is beautiful and it is in the neighborhood that a lot of people from church live. So yesterday we packed and moved and packed and moved. Not my favorite things to do in the world but we got most of it done. The dogs are currently acting out scenes from Born Free as they do laps in our gigantic yard. I think we are all happy to be out of the dungeon and into the light!

So all in all it is a Christmas miracle. Oh and I forgot to mention....we had to bring our refrigerator from the previous house to the current house. We didn't bother to measure or anything we just loaded it on the trailer and voila it was a PERFECT fit. Phew!! Talk about a relief!!!!

Ok so where are you now? Still in Gilbert? I need your new address. Glad you guys are happy and like it lots better. Seriously though...when are we going to get together again? Maybe after Christmas for lunch? Paradise? That seems to be easiest I guess.
